The online casinos are doing well, despite the
bad economy, and some experts suggesting that the online gambling
industry may be doing great thanks to the deteriorating state of
economies world wide. A report by the Global Betting and Gaming
Consultants shows that online gambling as a whole earned a gross
gambling revenue yield of $20 billion in the 2008. Great numbers,
especially compared to the constant losses posted by the offline casinos
in what was once considered a recession-proof business. According to the
report and various experts, the online casinos and the rest of the
gambling websites are doing great thanks to the bad economy, as people
are looking for ways to cut spending. Money for transportation, lodging
and food are now slashed from the entertainment budget of many gamblers,
who are taking advantage of the online casinos. According to analysis,
the 2009 could be even better for the online gambling firms, despite to
growing financial worries.
